Bata India Q1 profit up 23% to Rs 64 cr

Hyderabad: Shoemaker Bata India reported a 23 per cent increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 63.98 crore in the June quarter, helped by operational efficiency, disciplined cost management and sharper execution across channels. It had posted a net profit of Rs 52 crore in the previous April-June quarter a year ago, Bata India said in a regulatory filing. Bata’s revenue from operations was up 4 per cent to Rs 978.95 crore in the June quarter of FY27, helped by premiumisation and volume growth.

“Topline growth was driven by Average Selling Price (ASP) with margin expansion,” Bata said in its earnings statement. Moreover, “continued focus on operational efficiency, disciplined cost management and sharper execution across channels” helped to lift profits.

Its total expenses in the June quarter were at Rs 911.08 crore, up 3 per cent on a year-on-year basis.
