Woman In Delhi Commits Suicide And Leaves Videos Behind Showcasing Alleged Marital Abuse

A 24-year-old lady reportedly committed herself in her marital residence in the Nangloi neighbourhood of Delhi after making two videos in which she is apparently seen accusing her husband and in-laws of harassing her nonstop, according to officials on Thursday.

Officials claimed that Nangloi Police Station received information about the incident on Monday at around 11:09 a.m. According to the reports, the woman was identified as “A,” who lived in Nangloi Extension and was approximately 26 years old, was taken to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial (SGM) Hospital, where medical professionals pronounced her dead upon arrival.

Police discovered that the woman had allegedly hanged herself during the preliminary investigation. The situation was submitted to the relevant Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) for inquest procedures in compliance with the legislative regulations governing such circumstances because the death happened within seven years of her marriage.

The mother of the deceased claimed that her daughter’s husband, Rohit, regularly abused her when intoxicated, and the Tehsildar of Mundka recorded her statement. According to the woman’s family, she had been having long-term marital problems.

The officers added that information about Rohit’s health was also obtained by investigators. He is presently receiving treatment for a severe brain injury he had in an accident a few months ago. According to medical evaluations provided during the investigation, his condition is still critical and, according to the doctors who are treating him, “he is not likely to survive beyond 2-3 years.”
