‘Meri nalayak aulaad’: Honey Singh takes fresh jibe at Badshah after Samay Raina’s Latent joke

New Delhi: Punjabi singer and rapper ‘s feud has once again reignited, thanks to Samay Raina. The bonus episode of India’s Got Latent was released on August 10, 2026, for members only.

In Season 2 Bonus Episode 2 of India’s Got Latent, Samay Raina made a light mockery of rapper Badshah while making indirect reference to his ongoing feud with Honey Singh. Now, as the video went viral, took a jibe at the rapper, calling him “meri nalayak aulaad (my worthless child).”

Samay Raina sings ‘Honey Singh ka fan hoon mein’

The moment occurred after a contestant’s performance and soon the video went crazily viral on social media. In the viral video, Samay Raina sings a song making a reference to Honey Singh while Badshah is seen seated on the judge’s panel.

Samay picked up the microphone, joked about tuning it and started singing, “Yo Yo Honey Singh ka fan hoon main. Karta maa-behen hoon main. Mere saare ang dekho, gana Brown Rang dekho.”

Several users even took it as a cheeky reference to Badshah and Honey Singh’s feud. One of the major disputes between the two artists was about the song ‘Brown Rang’, where it was stated by Badshah that he had written the lyrics of the track while Honey composed the music. The dispute resurfaced in July 2025 after Badshah commented on one of the Honey Singh’s post “credits”.

In an interesting turn of events, Samay then asked Badshah the story behind his stage name and he revealed that he came up with the name ‘Badshah’. The comedian then said that he has heard a different story.

Badshah quickly dismissed it and said that the other version is wrong. Following the release of the episode, netizens shared old clip of Basdshah where he stated that Honey Singh gave him the stage name.

In an old interview, he said, “Honey told me, ‘You live like a Badshah.’ He said I use my phone whenever I want and get up whenever I feel like. So that’s how Badshah was decided.”

As the clip started to circulate on social media, Honey Singh took a jibe at Badshah on the video and wrote in the comment section, “Meri nalaayak aulaad. (My worthless child).”

What’s the Honey Singh-Badshah feud all about?

Honey Singh and Badsah were once part of the group ‘Mafia Mundeer’. They worked together along with Raftaar, Ikka and Lil Golu. The group dismantled after disagreements began over several songs. Some disputes were related to receiving credits for lyrics, music and beats and over the years, the differences kept on escalating.
