Harry Brook, Justin Greaves, Tanzid Hasan shortlisted for ICC Men’s Player of the Month

Hyderabad: England captain Harry Brook, West Indies all-rounder Justin Greaves and Bangladesh opening batter Tanzid Hasan have been shortlisted for the ICC Men’s Player of the Month award for July, while England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt, Sri Lanka batter Harshitha Samarawickrama and West Indies skipper Hayley Matthews have been shortlisted for the women’s award, according to ICC Media.

Brook led by example during England’s successful home series against India particularly in the T20 format where he was named the Player of
the Series, Greaves’ all-round brilliance in home Tests against Sri Lanka and Pakistan helped the West Indies to victory over both, and Tanzid’s consistency as an opening batter for Bangladesh in their tour of Zimbabwe helped set up their recovery from losses in the one-off
Test match and ODI series to win the T20I series 2-1.

England’s fearless leader, Sciver-Brunt, shrugged off injury concerns and delivered crucial individual performances with the bat that made
the difference in her team’s ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 campaign, which saw them finish as runners-up to Australia. Meanwhile, Harshitha Samarawickrama’s standout batting performances in the second and third matches against Pakistan helped Sri Lanka to a 2-1 ODI series win.

West Indies captain Hayley Matthews’ remarkable all-round form continued as she produced a career-best 159 during her side’s 3-0 ODI
series victory over Ireland in July.
