Telangana canoe sprint team wins multiple medals at national championship

Hyderabad: Telangana’s canoe sprint team put up an impressive show at the Canoe Sprint National Championship in Bhopal, winning multiple medals across the 1,000m and 5,000m events.

In the 1,000m canoe single, N. Bindu bagged a silver, while P. Jaswika and K. Anusha won gold in the canoe double. K. Bindu, P. Jaswika, R. Rekha and K. Anusha won gold in the canoe four, while M. Chandan settled for a bronze in the kayak single.

M. Chandan, Sravanthi, Avanthika and Sindhu bagged a silver in the kayak four event. K. Anusha won a silver in the canoe single, while M. Bindu and P. Jaswika won the canoe double.

The Sports Authority of Telangana congratulated the State squad on its impressive performance and appreciated the contribution of the support staff to the success.
