Har Ghar Tiranga rally in Chennai gets huge response
Chennai: A massive ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ rally was organised in Chennai on Sunday as part of the nationwide campaign to celebrate the spirit of patriotism and national unity, with thousands of people carrying the national flag and raising patriotic slogans.
The rally, organised following the call given by BJP national president Nitin Nabin, began from the statue of Ma Po Si (M P Sivagnanam) and proceeded towards the BJP Tamil Nadu state headquarters, Kamalalayam.
People from various sections of society, including lawyers, doctors, youth, professionals, BJP workers and members of the public, participated in the rally with enthusiasm.
The programme witnessed the participation of BJP Tamil Nadu state president Nainar Nagenthran, state vice president Doriswamy, state secretaries Thagaraj, Vinoj and Sampath, former MLA Gayatri Devi, besides several district presidents, senior party leaders and party workers from across Tamil Nadu.
Former MLC and BJP national co-incharge for Tamil Nadu and Karnataka Dr Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy also participated in the rally.
Addressing the gathering, Ponguleti said the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign was more than a celebration and represented the collective pride, unity and responsibility of citizens towards the nation.
He called upon people, particularly the youth, to actively contribute to nation-building and work with dedication, innovation and determination towards realising the vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“The Tiranga is a living symbol of Bharat’s unity, sovereignty, sacrifice and aspirations. Its spirit should not remain confined to a celebration or an occasion but should inspire us every day to fulfil our duties as responsible citizens and work for the progress, unity and prosperity of Bharat,” Sudhakar Reddy said.
He appealed to people across Tamil Nadu to participate wholeheartedly in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, hoist the national flag with pride and carry its message of unity and patriotism into every home and heart.
