Yash praises Toxic co-stars Nayanthara, Tara, Huma; calls one ‘badass sister’ at trailer launch
Yash praises Nayanthara
Nayanthara may not have had much time to work on Toxic, but Yash said her commitment still made a strong impression on him. He praised the actor for giving her best despite the scheduling challenges and said she had “added a lot of value” to the film.
Talking about her character, Yash called her the “most badass sister anybody can have” and said she had “nailed” the role.
He also addressed Nayanthara’s appearance at the launch, joking that she was like him and “not very good at promotion.” According to Yash, speaking at such events can be difficult because actors never quite know what to say when audiences and the media already have so much to say about them.
Yash says Tara Sutaria added elegance to Toxic
Tara Sutaria also received special praise from Yash, particularly for the way her presence shaped her character.
With several female characters in the film, Yash revealed that he and Geetu had spent time discussing how to ensure that each one had a distinct identity.
“How do we balance? How do we kind of make each character unique?” he recalled discussing with the director.
Tara’s performance eventually prompted the team to expand her role. Yash said they “increased your scenes more than what it was written” because of her presence and effort.

Huma Qureshi will ‘blow your mind’, says Yash
Yash was equally enthusiastic while speaking about Huma Qureshi, joking that she had become the “brand ambassador of Toxic.”
He acknowledged that Huma has been doing distinctive work, including independent films, and said he understood the demands involved in making and releasing such projects.
Despite those commitments, the actor said Huma gave considerable time to Toxic and trusted the team with her character.
Yash suggested that audiences had not seen much of her in the promotional material so far, but that was about to change.
“You will witness her presence in the cinema,” he said, adding that she was “going to blow your mind” and had performed phenomenally.
Yash praises Akshay Oberoi
Akshay Oberoi was another co-star singled out by Yash during the event. He joked about Akshay’s growing popularity in Karnataka and his ability to speak about Yash with such enthusiasm that it sometimes leaves even the actor impressed.
Yash’s comments offered a glimpse into the camaraderie among the Toxic cast, even as the newly released trailer keeps the details of their individual characters largely under wraps.
