Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata OTT release: Kangana Ranaut’s 26/11 film arrives in August; check when and where to watch
New Delhi: Kangana Ranaut’s Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata is heading to the digital space after completing its theatrical run. The Manoj Tapadia-directed drama, which revisits the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks through the experiences of hospital staff, will stream on ZEE5 from August 14.
The film premiered in cinemas on June 12, 2026. While it received favourable reviews, its theatrical performance remained modest. According to Sacnilk figures cited in the source copy, the film collected Rs 7.04 crore net in India and Rs 8.32 crore worldwide.
Kangana Ranaut film gets digital premiere
ZEE5 announced the film’s OTT arrival with a new trailer on Friday. The platform’s post describes the story as one about “ordinary nurses” who showed extraordinary courage during the 26/11 attacks and highlights the healthcare workers whose stories remained largely untold.
What Kangana said about 26/11 drama
Kangana, who also serves as a producer on the project, has spoken about the importance of bringing the stories of healthcare workers to the screen.
In a statement cited by Hindustan Times, she said, “Some stories choose you because they deserve to be told. Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata is one such film.”
She added that portraying the healthcare workers who stood between “terror and humanity” during the attacks was particularly important to her.
“Their courage wasn’t driven by recognition but by an unwavering sense of duty and compassion,” Kangana said, adding that the film’s release around Independence Day makes its message more meaningful.
Story follows unsung heroes of Cama Hospital
Rather than focusing solely on the perpetrators or the larger events of the attacks, Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata turns its attention to the people working inside Mumbai’s Cama and Albless Hospital.
Nurses, ward boys, cleaners, security personnel and other hospital employees are at the centre of the story as they attempt to protect patients amid the unfolding terror. Kangana stars alongside Girija Oak and Smita Tambe in the film.
Written and directed by Manoj Tapadia, the movie brings an overlooked aspect of the 26/11 tragedy to the screen by focusing on the ordinary hospital workers who found themselves confronting an extraordinary crisis.
