100 new talents get introduced with ‘Kotha Cinema’
A Telugu film, Kotha Cinema, which is set to release soon in the, has been made with local talent in the Singareni region. Debut director Azhar will be introducing nearly 100 new faces in the Telugu film industry. Recently, a special function was held in Hyderabad under the name “Why in Hyderabad, Why Not in Our Place?” where a few directors and producers showed their support for the film.

The reason for such a choice was explained by Azhar himself, who decided to make a movie on his own and not to wait for the offer from established production houses. He organized a competition in his village and gathered local talent to shoot a film despite all the odds. Featuring Suresh and Rakesh in lead roles, Kotha Cinema will have its debut director taking care of the story, screenplay, direction, dialogues, and editing. Mohammed Wasim Akram, Sagi Sudheer Rao, and Yadandla Satish Yadav are the producers of the film.
Speaking on the occasion of the event, Azhar said: “I took up this project on my own instead of waiting for someone to give me a chance,” he said. “I conducted auditions in my village and found talented people. We worked night and day to finish the film.” Tammareddy Bharadwaja, a veteran filmmaker and producer, was enthusiastic about such an experiment and called it authentic. N. Shankar, director, and producer of the film “Jai Shankar”, praised the debut director for giving an opportunity to so many young talents from the Singareni coal mining region.
Besides, other directors Veerashankar and V.N. Aditya gave their support to Azhar, saying that he had the courage to take this step. It seems that Kotha Cinema will show that good films can be made outside of the capital of Telugu cinema.
